Locating us at the airport:

Once you arrive at the airport, you will need to collect your baggage and clear customs. After clearing customs, please go to one of our counters

If you arrive at the Terminal “A” please go directly to our counter which is the # 9.  This counter will be right in front of you as soon as you enter the exit hall.

Terminal A - PUJ Airport

If you arrive at the Terminal B please go directly to our counter which is the # 21. This counter will be almost at the end of the exit hall to your left.

Terminal B - PUJ Airport

There is no voucher needed. Just tell them your name and they will take you to your driver

Please stay away from bell boys and porters since most of them will try to mislead you. (They get commissions from the taxi drivers when they manage that clients don’t find their transportation company.)

Be aware there are 2 terminals in the Punta Cana airport: Terminal A & Terminal B. There is only one exit in Terminal B, but there are 2 exits in Terminal A. If you arrive in Terminal A, please use the exit to your left. This is typically where most passengers exit the airport (just follow the crowd).

We monitor your actual arrival time, and we will be at the airport when you arrive. We wait for you if your flight is delayed (no matter how long the delay should be). If your flight arrives early, we will also make sure to arrive early to pick you up.

There is no need to inform us about flight delays, but you should inform us if you missed or changed your flight.

Do not change money at the airport or in your hotel at “Globo Cambio”! – it is a rip off – (the actual exchange rate is $1.00 USD = $48.00 DOP)

Locating the driver at your hotel:

Please look for our driver in the lobby area at the same place you were dropped off. He will be holding a sign which says “ShopyTours“.

You do not have to reconfirm your pickup time. If you wish to make a change, just give us a call or send us an email. (please do not talk with the driver about changes or any other important information)

Locating the driver at the Cruise Ship Port:

Our driver will be waiting for your at the cruise ship port where you will exit the cruise ship holding a sign which says “ShopyTours”.

Tourist Card

All tourists (except nationals of the following countries: Argentina, Chile, Peru, Uruguay, Ecuador, Israel, Japan or South Korea) entering the Dominican Republic need to buy a tourist card for $10.00 USD. This tourist card can either be bought in cash at your arrival or you can purchase it online entering this link: https://www.dgii.gov.do/Tturistaweb/. If you buy the tourist card online, make sure to print out a copy which will be sent to you via email after the purchase. The tourist card is valid for one year and can be used for one entry. Children need this tourist card also, no matter how old they area.

Clients who take a Cruise Ship and will leave the D.R. the same day of their arrival do not need a tourist card. They will have to show proof of their Cruise Ship booking.

It can take 15 min. or more waiting in the line to buy this card especially when you arrive at the Punta Cana or Santo Domingo airport. We recommend buying the tourist card before you arrive because this can save you a lot of time at the airport. If you buy the tourist card online you should then use the exit lane which is dedicated to Residents and/or Dominican Citizens. (Check with your airline if they provide this tourist card for free before buying it online)
