Private Transfer from Punta Cana Airport (PUJ) to Samana (Las Terrenas)
Our Private Transfer from the Punta Cana airport (PUJ) to your hotel (or place you are staying) in the Samana (Las Terrenas) area is only for you. This means there won’t be any other passengers on the bus. We depart as soon as you are ready, and we drive nonstop straight to your hotel. For your return we pick you up at your desired pickup time and drive nonstop, straight to the airport.
Our Private Transfers operate 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
Reservation: You can use our Private Transfers only if you made a reservation. It does not matter if you paid online or if you will pay in cash. We are not allowed to transport people without a reservation because in this case we would be entering into competition with the regular Taxi Service.
Taxi Fares: Just FYI: a Taxi for up to 4 passengers from Punta Cana Airport (PUJ) to Las Terrenas charges approx. $400.00 USD or more.
Locating us at the Airport: Once you arrive at the airport, you will need to collect your luggage and clear customs. After clearing customs, please leave the airport building and look out for our employee who will hold a sign which says ShopyTours and/or your nam
There is no voucher needed. Just tell them your name and they will take you to your driver.
We monitor your actual arrival time, and we will be at the airport when you arrive. We wait for you if your flight is delayed (no matter how long the delay should be). If your flight arrives early, we will also make sure to arrive early to pick you up.
There is no need to inform us about flight delays, but you should inform us if you missed or changed your flight.
Locating the driver at your Hotel: Please look for our driver in the lobby area at the same place you were dropped off. He will be holding a sign which says “ShopyTours” and/or “Your Name”.
Pickup time for your return to the Airport: You set your pickup time during the booking process. Airlines recommend you should arrive at the airport between 2 and 3 hours before your flight’s scheduled departure time. Travel time from the Las Terrenas area to the Airport Punta Cana (PUJ) is approx. 4 hours. For your particular transfer, we recommend that you should set the pickup time 5 hours +/- 30 minutes before your flight’s scheduled departure time. Airline counters in the Dominican Republic normally open 3 hours before a flight and close 1 hour before for international flights.

Our Vehicles: We use only newer vehicles for our transfers. For 1–6 passengers, we use a Hyundai H1 or similar minivan. For 7–9 passengers, we use a Toyota Hiace or similar minibus. For 10–13 passengers, we use a Hyundai H350, Toyota Coaster or similar bus. Please inquire about the price for larger vehicles by calling us, through email or via LiveChat
Luggage: There is no luggage restriction for our transfers (if you should have excessive luggage – more than 2 pieces per person – please let us know)
Prices: Prices shown for private transfers are in $ USD and are for the vehicle, not per person.
Forms of Payment: We accept online payments via PayPal or you can also pay in cash the total amount upon arrival in $ USD directly to our employee at the airport. As we already mentioned, you can only use our transfers if you have a reservation.
Taxes & Fees: All taxes and fees are included in the price. Tips to our drivers are always welcome but not mandatory.
Child Car Seats: You will have the option to add up to 2 child car seat(s) FOR FREE to your transfer during the booking process. Child car seats are not mandatory in the Dominican Republic.
Cancellation Policy for our Transfers & Airport Shuttle Service: We do not charge cancellation fees or fees for changes. If you’ve paid your transfer or shuttle via PayPal or Credit Card and have to cancel we will refund 100% – no questions asked. Please be fair and try to advise us early if you have to cancel or change your booking. This is important for us because we sometimes have to position our vehicles to locations far away from our base in order to pick you up.
