Overview

If the humpback whales would have a nationality most of them would be Dominicans. Every year thousands visit us from the North Atlantic in the bay of Samaná to give birth and mate for the next season.

Travel with us by bus to Miches and get ready for a once in a lifetime experience. You will be greeted by the majestic presence of the humpback whales in the open waters of the bay of Samaná (total round trip travel time in our air-conditioned bus is approx. 3 hours 45 min)

Our tour concentrates exclusively on Whale watching. We do not visit the peninsula Samana nor any waterfalls or the island Cayo Levantado. This gives us much more time to concentrate on our mission which is to see as many whales as possible on the day of your tour. You don’t have to get up that early, will be much earlier back in your hotel and we don’t have any rush during the day to comply with an overloaded tour program like most others do.

Please be aware that whale watching is a spectacle of nature. We cannot guarantee if and how many whales you will see during your trip. Also be aware that the activity is strongly regulated by Dominican authorities to protect the whales and boats are only allowed to be a maximum of 30 minutes in the vicinity of the whales as soon as they are spotted.
