We accept online payments via PayPal or CreditCard. We also offer a “Cash on the day” option but this option should only be used for Private Transfer bookings and if you arrive either at the Punta Cana Airport (PUJ) or at the Santo Domingo Airport (SDQ) and if you are 7 or fewer passengers. Please do not use this option for Tour bookings.

Cancellation Policy for Tours: We do not charge cancellation fees or fees for changes. If you have to cancel an excursion we will refund 100% – no questions asked. Please be fair and try to advise us early if you have to cancel or change your booking since we block your seats and make all the necessary arrangements for your tour.

Cancellation Policy for our Private Transfers: We do not charge cancellation fees or fees for changes. If you’ve paid your transfer or shuttle via PayPal or Credit Card and have to cancel we will refund 100% – no questions asked. Please be fair and try to advise us early if you have to cancel or change your booking. This is important for us because we sometimes have to store our vehicles in locations far away in order to pick you up.

You will have the option to add a child car seat(s) FOR FREE to your transfer during the booking process. Child car seats are not mandatory in the Dominican Republic.

All taxes and fees are included in the prices shown (except cruise port fees – U$ 3.00 pp – which are charged extra during the booking process). Tips to our drivers are always welcome but not mandatory.

There is no luggage restriction for our transfers (if you should have excessive luggage – more than 2 pieces per person – please let us know)

Our Vehicles: We use only newer vehicles for our transfers. For 1–7 passengers, we use a Hyundai Starex or similar minivan. For 8–10 passengers, we use a Toyota Hiace or similar minibus. For 11–16 passengers, we use a Jac Sunray, Toyota Coaster or similar bus. Please inquire about the price for larger vehicles by calling us or through email.

How should I calculate the Pick-up Time for my Return to the Airport?2016-04-26T14:57:52-04:00

You set your pickup time during the booking process. Airlines recommend you should arrive at the airport between 2 and 3 hours before your flight’s scheduled departure time. We recommend that you should set the pickup time 2 hours 30 min + the estimated driving time before your flight’s scheduled departure time. Airline counters in the Dominican Republic normally open 3 hours before a flight and close 1 hour before a flight for international flights.

Can I use your Services without a Reservation?2016-04-26T15:01:04-04:00

No, you can use our Private Transfers only if you made a reservation. It does not matter if you paid online or if you will pay in cash. We are not allowed to transport people without a reservation because in this case we would be entering into competition with the regular Taxi Service.

Should i Buy the Tourist Card Online?2016-04-26T15:01:59-04:00

Yes, we recommend that you should buy the tourist card online before you arrive. Here some information about it:

All tourists (except nationals of the following countries: Argentina, Chile, Peru, Uruguay, Ecuador, Israel, Japan or South Korea) entering the Dominican Republic need to buy a tourist card for $10.00 USD. This tourist card can either be bought in cash at your arrival or you can purchase it online entering this link: https://www.dgii.gov.do/Tturistaweb/. If you buy the tourist card online, make sure to print out a copy which will be sent to you via email after the purchase. The tourist card is valid for one year and can be used for one entry. Children need this tourist card also, no matter how old they area.

It can take 15 min. or more waiting in the line to buy this card especially when you arrive at the Punta Cana or Santo Domingo airport. We recommend buying the tourist card before you arrive, because this can save you a lot of time at the airport. If you buy the tourist card online you should then use the exit lane which is dedicated for Residents and/or Dominican Citizens .

Please look for our driver in the lobby area at the same place you were dropped off. He will be holding a sign which says “ShopyTours” and/or “Your Name”.

There is no need to inform us about flight delays, but you should inform us if you missed or changed your flight.

We monitor your actual arrival time, and we will be at the airport when you arrive. We wait for you if your flight is delayed (no matter how long the delay should be). If your flight arrives early, we will also make sure to arrive early to pick you up.

Once you arrive at the airport, you will need to collect your baggage and clear customs. After clearing customs, please go to the Counter of

“Blue Travel Partner Services”

There is no voucher needed. Just tell them your name and they will take you to your driver

We have an alliance with Blue Travel Partner Services which is the most prestigious and largest DMC (Destination Management Company) in the Dominican Republic (same company “Expedia” uses for their clients in the Dominican Republic). Blue Travel receives our clients at airports and cruise ship ports and has representatives in all hotels. As a client of ShopyTours you can also count on their reps for assistance in your hotel if needed.
